The Course
The course is enjoyable to play and welcomes all classes of golfers from juniors to beginners to more accomplished players. The course has matured well and now includes water features which can come into play on size of the holes.
It takes about 1 and a half hours to play and has two sets of tees. The red tees are suitable for beginners and are all Par 3's, whereas the white tees are more challenging even for more accomplished golfers and include five Par 4's.
Suitable for Beginners and Accomplished Golfers
HOLE 1
White 138yds : Red 122yds
White 138yds : Red 122yds
A tricky par 3 to start. Tight on both the right and left, calling for an accurate shot to carry the water hazard in front of the green and to remain on the green. Bunkers on front right and left and behind.
HOLE 2
White 174yds : Red 154yds
An uphill par 3 that always plays longer than you think. Tight on the left with a tree and a bunker protecting that side of the green. It pays to keep right as the green slopes right to left.
HOLE 3
White 125yds : Red 108yds
Shortest par 3 on the course but deceptively difficult. The green slopes away from the tee shot and is well protected by bunkers short right, and a nest on the left.
HOLE 4
White 226yds : Red 113yds
The first par 4 which is a right hand with a water feature on the bend. It calls for an accurate tee shot to stay short of the ditch or carry it. The second shot got to be just as accurate as the green lies narrow width to the fairway and is fully protected on its length across the fairway by the bunker.
HOLE 5
White 390yds : Red 253yds
Longest par 4 on the course which is also a dogleg right. There is out of bounds on the right aling its length, and to make the second shot to the elevated green easier the corner bunkers have to be taken on.
HOLE 6
White 267yds : Red 166yds
The signature hole of the course. Short par 4 with plenty of trouble. It calls for an accurate tee shot to the right hand of the fairway which leaves a straight road into the green, which is set into the lake "Sawgrass Style" and has water to the right, left and behind the green. If you are not accurate with your tee shot you may have to approach the flag over water.
HOLE 7
White 162yds : Red 119yds
Great par 3, teeing from a tee projecting out into the lake. Although not a long carry, the lake is prominent in your view. Trees on the right, with the green well protected by a right hand bunker and a meandering ditch through the fairway and all along the left hand of the green.
HOLE 8
White 245yds : Red 190yds
Shortish straight par 4, but with trees on the right and left of the fairway. Demands an extremely straight drive from a tee within the wood to negotiate a safe line through an avenue of trees. The green is protected with a water feature short right.
HOLE 9
White 213yds : Red 164yds
Short par 4, teeing over a water hazard to a fairway that eventually opens out on the left. Fairway and the green slope left to right with trees also on the right. The green is protected by a fairway bunker short middle and a bunker set into the green left middle.
